Malaga – Grenada

I have long been intrigued by The Alhambra in Grenada Spain. Meg had visited once in the early 70s during the period when she lived in Germany, and she was ready to go again. I arranged an excursion from our port of Malaga, an all-day excursion to the Alhambra. It was the kind of tour where they fill a minivan and then, according to demand, add a second minivan, and then, as needed, switch everyone to a small bus. We were a total of 42! After a two hour nicely narrated bus ride through the countryside from Malaga to Grenada, the site of the Alhambra, at the site we split into 3 groups each with a good guide and had a leisurely guided visit.

I probably first heard of the place in first or second year Spanish classes in high school. Finally made it! Too little time there, too many people, but still a wonderful visit. So many details to attend to! I hope to go back.
