After a sea day, our next stop was Marseille France, a major commercial port and one of the gateways to the Provence region. I had arranged a small group tour and six of us with guide Noel (from Budapest Hungary, married to an Italian, working as a guide in southern France…) did a loop around west, then north, then east, and back into Marseille. Two primary stops were Aix-en-Provence and Cassis. Wonderful towns both, with nice walking streets and beautiful countryside in between.
