Headed for Spain in two days, precursor to our Celebrity Eclipse cruise around the Med and Adriatic, then on across the Atlantic to South America. Before I booked this epic trip, I had different plans. We would go to Italy in mid October, do a Greek Isles cruise or similar on the Constellation, then some time in Northern Italy, Venice, etc. before taking a Transatlantic from Rome to Florida. Then this itinerary was published, I canceled the original bookings and switched. If we were on the original schedule, we would right now be coping with very bad weather in Venice…

Travel Plans and Commentary 
I’ll be on the same cruise out of Barcelona! We’re arriving from Los Angeles two days prior to the cruise and then spending about five days in Barcelona before we head back home. Other than our hotel and Airbnb accommodations, I haven’t arranged any tours. I figure we can do Barcelona on our own, but I’d like to explore outside of the city some. Have you planned any day trips and with a tour or on your own? Just curious …

We will be headed to Madrid and Toledo for several days. The day before embarkation we’ll go to Montserrat with a small group. Our previous time in Barcelona was one day; we had a random cab driver give us a half day tour around the city, then walked the Ramblas on our own.
